Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Howard Steinberg began his career in brand and marketing management mainly at the Pepsi Cola Company. In 1989 he formed Source Marketing and it rapidly became a leader in the promotional marketing industry, serving such clients as AOL, Time Warner, HBO, Kellogg, Procter & Gamble, Mattel, American Express, and more. The agency has been honored with industry distinction and was consistently ranked among the country’s top 50 promotional marketing agencies by Advertising Age Magazine. In 1998 Howard sold a majority stake in Source to the largest marketing services company in Canada, MDC Corporation (NASDAQ: MDCA), remaining with the company as its CEO.
In 2004 Howard turned his attention, passion, and energies to building a new vision in healthcare education and marketing. Having lived with diabetes for 40 years, he realized that better forms of information, connection, and motivation were needed for the diabetes community. And at the same time, as a marketing entrepreneur, he realized that better and more effective channels were needed for companies to reach this community. dLife was born as an entirely new model — the merger of original content and exclusive channels to provide the biggest and most accessible resource for people with diabetes.
Howard received a BS degree in management and an MBA in marketing from New York University.
